Round Robin Photo Challange #2 Entry... Historic Hanibal, MO.. home of Mark Twain
Here is my second entry for Villiage and my modivation to get my travel pics off my memory card so I can clear it. This was from this summer when I took a trip up to Wisconsin with my mom. We stopped very briefly in Hanibal,MO.. about 90 miles from where I live now. I loveeeeeeeee all these old buildings and the stories behind them. Maybe next time I will trek up to the light house and get some good long shots.

nice pictures; never been to any part of Missouri; this looks like an interesting place to visit.

I enjoyed the pictures. I'd love to stroll through some of those old buildings. And by the way, I was born in Wisconsin. Haven't been back there since I was three years old. Well, did pass through it several times on the truck.

ReplyDeleteAlways, Carly :)
Beautiful pictures. That looks like the kind of place I could lose myself in.
ReplyDeleteNow it can be told - several key elements of Liftlabeth, the village where my first novel begins, were heavily influenced by my brief stop in Hannibal in 1986. I never did get the full "tour" of the place - until now, that is! Thanks! - Karen

Hey Mary! Been doing a little catching up before I go off to work. Glad things seem to be going well for ya'll. Enjoyed the pictures. And, thanks for all the concern and prayers for me and my family after Rita! You're the best. - Barbara
ReplyDeleteHanibel is one of my earliest childhood memory vacations! I grew up "next door" in Kansas! I don't remember a lot, but there are bits and pieces. I remember going into the caves and being scared I'd get lost (very reasonable for a 3 or 4 yr old!). My mom has a lot of fun pictures of there, that I love looking at! Plus I was darn cute at that age! LOL
