Very quick & condensed entry

Keeping it short and sweet since I have limited conceivability right now with my dsl provider and hubbies wireless connection. (sucks when you cant pay the bill) That is why I have been MIA the last week or so.  Time and Money. blaaa.  I have tried to add an entry and pictures but get booted off before I finnish.
I must be having withdrawal.  Last night I dreamed I wrote and posted the most influential, memorable, hard hitting post that summed up EVERY THING  that ever needed to be said and I became a world famous blogger lol... sad huh.
Last week was busy and as always flew by.  The weather sucked.. I got snowed in that Sunday and was unable to participate at the Arch for Silent No More. I was extremely disappointed but Josh convinced me it was for the best.. better to miss this event then get into an accident on the way and never show up. But I was able to go to an afternoon church service focusing on abortion and women who regretted theirs. Last Monday I went and protested and prayed out at a Planned Parenthood... I have video that I want to get posted but I need to wait for a better connection before I even attempt that.  The weather here is still bitterly cold. You'd think we were in Wisconsin not Missouri or something.  My friend's pipes froze Sunday. Yikes!
My Birthday was O.K. At least it is out of the way. I went out with a friend that Friday for a while and then that Saturday I had people over.  Josh got me a pretty set of garnet heart shape ear rings.  He has found an easy way to make sure all his gifts to me from now on are a hit. Jewelry lol.  For Christmas he got me a very nice gold and mother of pearl Citizen watch.. FYI I never have to change the battery.
We are kind of preparing ourselves here for Josh to go back on the road in the next month or so.  We are trying to enjoy each moment together as a family and as a couple.  Trying to get caught up on bills and file taxes.  Also get some household projects done.  My downstairs has been a big mess since Josh started putting up crown molding in the living room.  Hopefully he will get it finished by the weekend.  We are having a Superbowl Party.  Not that we are rooting for one team or another ... just an excuse tohave people over and for Josh to show off his Monster TV and surround sound.  I can see it now.. All the guys in the living room watching and carrying on over the game.. us women folk in the dinning room chatting or playing a game (I got a fun game called Catch Phrase for my birthday) and the kids upstairs playing in the loft.
Well, that's it for now. Hoping to get this posted before I am booted AGAIN.  Let me know how you all have been doing!  I'll try and stop by and say Hi as I go threw my alerts  (((((HUGS))))

President Bush Proclaims National Sanctity of Human Life Day, 2007

President Bush Proclaims National Sanctity of Human Life Day, 2007

Full text of proclamation follows:

America was founded on the principle that we are all endowed by our Creator with the right to life and that every individual has dignity and worth. National Sanctity of Human Life Day helps foster a culture of life and reinforces our commitment to building a compassionate society that respects the value of every human being.

Among the most basic duties of Government is to defend the unalienable right to life, and my Administration is committed to protecting our society's most vulnerable members. We are vigorously promoting parental notification laws, adoption, abstinence education, crisis pregnancy programs, and the vital work of faith-based groups. Through the "Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002," the "Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003," and the "Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004," we are helping to make our country a more hopeful place.

One of our society's challenges today is to harness the power of science to ease human suffering without sanctioning practices that violate the dignity of human life. With the right policies, we can continue to achieve scientific progress while living up to our ethical and moral responsibilities.

National Sanctity of Human Life Day serves as a reminder that we must value human life in all forms, not just those considered healthy, wanted, or convenient. Together, we can work toward a day when the dignity and humanity of every person is respected.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Sunday, January 21, 2007, as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. I call upon all Americans to recognize this day with appropriate ceremonies and to underscore our commitment to respecting and protecting the life and dignity of every human being.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand seven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-first.

Pics from last weeks icestorm

Is it no wonder tress fell and knocked out so many people's power?

All is pretty much melted now but still very cold.  They are calling for snow this weekend.  I am praying it will blow over fast so the Silent No More Event will go well and have a good turn out.

Silent No More Commercial

Gearing up for Silent No More

January is just flying by and there seems to be something going on every other day around here.. hence the lack of blogging on my part.   This coming weekend has crept up on me and I am realizing that I need to start to focus and get prayed up.  First Friday is the big 3 0 birthday.  Hopefully I'll be going out with a friend or with Josh and then Saturday we are planning on having a small get together at the house. (I better get my house cleaning on!!)  But Sunday is the Silent No More Awareness Event.  Can you believe this will be my third year participating????  No I won't get to go to Washington D.C. this time but I will be down at the Saint Louis Gateway Arch seeing off those who are with Missouri Right To Life and giving my testimony with other women who have been effected by abortion.  I am hoping this year I will be able to post video afterward so you can get a sense of what it is like and hear the other stories of  the sorrow that women feel after abortion.

For many Pro-Lifers January, the designated LIFE month is the only chance they get to be active or march or hold a sign or even talk about thier views.. sadly.  It should be a day to day fight, not a once a year event.  I feel weary sometimes and discouraged by the lack of participation of some threw out the year, the lack of fire... literally millions are dying because the TRUTH is not being yelled from every court house, every government building, every medical facility that practices this American Holocaust, from our churches pulpits so quiet on this issue.  But still I will have hope and faith.  A hope that one day this time in our History will be looked down on and people will be ashamed by their silence. That it will be shunned in our History like slavery is.  I have faith that God is in control and he will hear our prayers and wipe our tears and wipe clean the river of blood that flows from the abortion clinics and leaves a blight on our land.

I won't get into more of my ranting.. I have pages filled of it.  If you care to catch up on my story about my own abortion and how I first became apart of Silent No More you can visit my web page with the links on it.  But if you area women who has gone threw an abortion and are suffering from it I encourage you to read some of the links where you can seek help and healing.  And of course feel free to e-mail me if you wish to talk about it or vent or ask questions or need prayer.

Extream Joy for these families! And Weathering the storms

Monday when I heard the news about Ben Ownby my heart sank and all week I have been praying and praying for his return to his family, hoping for a good out come.  He was taken while walking home off his school bus.  He could have been my son for crying out loud!  13yrs, good student, Boy Scout, blonde, glasses..rual area...and the kids wonder why I insist they walk to the house off the bus together and not run ahead?!! His picture and the description of the truck seen was all over the news and it seemed hope was starting to fade.  I kept reminding people I would talk to that you just never know.. remember what happen to my sister and my niece and the out come from that.  God hears our prayers and even when the situation looks grim our faith carries us threw.  It is because of what happen to my niece, that she was kidnapped out of Chicago bus station on a Christmas Eve, that my heart breaks every time there is a missing child.  I always pray and I always keep my eyes peeled.. you never know if you could be the one who makes the difference.  It was because of the news media and the law enforcement and concerned citizens that my niece was found and thankfully in these cases of these two boys they are found!
Yesterday I went to Walmart to stock up on groceries. Payday couldn't have come fast enough this week, I was stating to feel like old mother Hubert.  It was before I had heard the news.  Walking threw the store you knew something was up.. People stopping in the isle chatting more than usual.  There was a feeling of excitement and wonder and joy in the air.  When I over heard what all the buzz was about I wanted to cry for joy for these boys and the families and also to get home as fast I could to see the news on TV.  It is amazing that Shawn Hornbeck was also found!  It is sad that another boy had to be taken and because of the eyewitness they had something to go on... if it wasn't for the description of that truck they may never have been found.  As they are saying Shawn was being hide in the wide open.. Being passed off as someone else's child!  I can only shutter and imagine what all he has gone threw these last 4 years and I pray for him and his family as they are reunited and start to cope with it all.
The news was all about these boys yesterday but also the coming ice storm.  I should have took the storm more serious.  Our power went out at about 10 last night and thankfully came back on at 3:30 a.m.  I am glad we had the fire place going and that helped keep us warm and had plenty of candles.  A generator would definitely be a good investment.  The last time an ice storm like this came threw a lot of people were without power for weeks. I don't know how we would cope if the power goes out for that long here.. of course it has to come when we are broke. They said last night was just the first wave of storms coming our way.. we are expecting a second and third over this weekend.  Josh's work was canceled for this weekend so everyone will stay off the roads.  I guess we will be hunkering down and enjoying family time together.. being thankful that we can all be together and try and stay warm.
